STUDIO ARTIST OF THE MONTH!

Every month we will be featuring a different Paper Mountain studio artist in our Mountain Happenings newsletter, on our blog and in our stairwell! The April/May Mountaineer in the limelight is Danni McGrath! Let us tell you a bit about why Danni is so great….

Danni McGrath is an emerging artist currently studying at Curtin University and has been involved in several group shows including The Conservatorium at Paper Mountain and Debut at free range gallery. Danni was also the creator of Nice Rack: A Portable Art Exhibition, and Processed!, a two week program of exhibitions, performances, open studios, talks and workshops that celebrated artists’ processes. Danni is interested in small, overlooked details, creating work that is simultaneously cute and poignant. She creates tiny momentous objects, textures and patterns through drawing, carving, mould making and casting. Danni is also a phenomenal jeweller, with her own range of jewellery called nuio. If you couldn’t tell: we <3 Danni McGrath!

A small selection of Danni’s work will be featured in the Paper Mountain stairwell from tomorrow and will be up for a month- check it out when you’re next climbing the Mountain!
